The Clinic Site
A long narrow piece of land, on a street called Str. Prelungirea Ghencea. It is in the area where the Hansons live, Drumul Taberei, but about 1.2 miles south. It's within 1/2 mile of the west edge of town, and still only 4.1 miles of the center of town. With the average density of Bucharest being about 40,000 people per square mile, within a mile radius of the clinic should be at least 120,000 people!
From the front of the red car to the building on the right is only about 33 feet wide.
But about 66 feet back, it widens to 70 feet. The front portion will be used for parking. It is a long and narrow piece of land, going back about 400 feet.
Looking down the street. The lot is on the right, not seen.
Scenes from inside showing the small garden plots now being used by about 10 families.
The owner/seller was impressed when we said we wouldn't touch the crops until they were harvested last fall.
Block apartments across the road, called "blocs."
The kindergarten/school parking lot across the way, tucked in between the blocs.
