Prayers - November 1998
ANSWERED PRAYERS
- That the architect here in Bucharest is working on getting the P.U.D.
approved while we are waiting for a more precise cost estimate from the
American company.
- Daniel Achim, the 23 year old Christian man who has been diagnosed with
lymphoma, a type of cancer, left for Scotland 12 days ago. A Christian
Scottish woman offered to pay for all his medical expenses, for the 6 months
of initial treatment! The preliminary reports from the cancer specialists
there are encouraging.
- For good health and unity between us. Linda has had a cold recently, but
the Lord has spared her from getting laryngitis, common for her, and so Milt
wasn't left with all the medical phone calls.
PRAYER REQUESTS
- That we will receive information promptly regarding the estimated cost of
the clinic structure which will be brought over from the U.S., and that it
will be a reasonable amount.
- For the Lord's continued guidance, and opening of doors, as we work with
the two architects involved in our project, and that the architect here in
Bucharest will be able to obtain all the approvals needed before building can
start. Also, guidance regarding the design of the clinic, that we don't
overlook any requirements.
- That the Lord will bring more donors toward our clinic project. Donations
can go either to our Work Fund at World Mission Prayer League, or to our newly
established support organization, Open Door Medical Ministries.
- For the Lord's continued provision for all our financial needs, including
our Support Fund, which is getting low.
- Campus Crusade for Christ is interested in buying the second floor of our
clinic building and will need financing for this. Obviously, we'd like prayer
for success in their fundraising, too.
- For Daniel Achim, that he will be completely healed and that the Lord will
provide people who can support him emotionally and spiritually while he is
away from his family and friends.
- That the Traistaru family will receive strength and courage from the Lord
to follow through with getting Flori evaluated for possible surgery before Dr.
Pesamosca, the best pediatric surgeon here, retires.
- For continued safety, unity and good health for us.
- That God will raise up more missionaries to work in Romania. That people
will realize that God uses ordinary people to accomplish wonderful things in
His Name and for His Kingdom.
- For the country of Romania: 1) that the leaders of this country will
follow the Lord and seek to do His will, and that they will continue to oppose
corruption and dishonesty at all levels of the government and society, 2)
against the spirits of deception and corruption in this country, 3) for a
revival in the church in Romania and for a "Promise Keepers" type revival
among the men in Romania.
