Prayers - XXX 2003
ANSWERED PRAYERS
- Praise that another soul was added to the Kingdom!
- Praise that we again received enough donations and income to cover our
employee's salaries for October and to pay our other clinic expenses!
- Praise that we are seeing more patients!
- Praise that Linda's sister, Blue, had a good visit here with us last week!
- Praise that the nurse practitioner is arriving in a week and Linda will
not have to continue working at the Embassy so much! (She actually enjoys this
work a lot, but it takes a lot of time away from working at the clinic seeing
patients and doing management.)
PRAYER REQUESTS
- For Florin's family, that they will draw closer to Christ during this
time of mourning, that they will feel His presence and receive comfort from Him.
- For Gabi, as she grieves the loss of her baby.
- For continued donations to our clinic project--enough to cover our
employees' salaries and the utilities as well as some extra to partially finish the
basement. Our expenses are running over $7,000/month and income from patient
visits has only been $2,500-$3,500 monthly. Donations toward the clinic are
best given to Open Door Medical Ministries, C/O Clifford Olson, 9210 Science
Center Drive, New Hope, MN 55428. Donations to our Work Fund, Support Fund,
Travel Fund and Personal Gift Fund should go to World Mission Prayer League, 232
Clifton Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55403, specifying to which fund you wish to
give.
- For the Lord to continue to bless our clinic with more patients, both the
poor and those who can pay for their medical care and thus help to support
the clinic expenses.
- For the Lord to provide more residents for us to teach, who are motivated
to work hard in learning and in caring for patients--not just in treating
diseases.
- For wisdom for us as managers so that we can bring out the best in our
employees, and that our employees would not be afraid to communicate their
problems and concerns with us.
- For continued healing of Kara's foot. With the cold weather, it has been
hurting more and more.
- For Aristel, a Romanian friend who is getting chemotherapy for her breast
cancer. Pray for complete healing of her cancer.
- For Flori's continued healing of his scarred esophagus. For the
Traistaru family to trust completely in the Lord for all their needs.
- For safety and health for us and all of the clinic staff.
- For the church plant that meets at our clinic, to be a blessing to many
people.
- For continued protection of the clinic against theft or damage.
- That God will raise up more missionaries to work with us in Romania. We
really need someone with management skills who can teach and mentor a
Romanian. This person would need to know something about clinic management,
personnel management, creating systems for inventory control, etc.
- For the country of Romania: 1) that the leaders and the people will
rediscover the meaning of integrity, 2) against the spirits of deception,
self-deception and corruption that are so dominant in this country, and 3) for a
revival in the church in Romania, especially among the men, for their hearts and
their minds. This is an ongoing, long term prayer.
