PRAYERS - March 1999

ANSWERED PRAYERS

  1. The Certificat de Urbanism has been approved!

  2. We continue to find out more information, and more about how to work with the system here.

  3. For the good spirit of cooperation that seems to exist between all the people involved in the clinic project. Please keep praying for this.

  4. For continued good health, safety and unity between us.

PRAYER REQUESTS

  1. For a safe trip for Fred and Roberta Anderson, both for their travel to and from the U.S. (they just arrived today, Thursday, and will be staying until next Wed.) and our travels here during their stay, and for us as we travel to Minnesota in early April.

  2. That Mr. Jewell will send all the information needed for approval of the Jewell building system, and that it will be approved by the Romanian government quickly.

  3. For the Lord's continued guidance as we work with the two architects involved in our project, and that the architect here in Bucharest will be able to obtain all the approvals needed before building can start. Also, guidance regarding the design of the clinic, that we don't overlook any requirements. (We just found out that every exam room needs a 2 square meter window!! We've been asking the architect and the Sanitary Police for this information for months!)

  4. That we will be able to obtain a final price estimate within the next 2 months on the actual cost of all the different parts of the clinic building project (including the bomb shelter, the entryway/stairway, the plumbing, electricity and heating systems, the foundation, the fencing around the site, a security system, etc.)

  5. That the Lord will bring more donors toward our clinic project. Donations can go either to our Work Fund at World Mission Prayer League (232 Clifton Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55403) or to our project support organization, Open Door Medical Ministries (C/O Clifford L. Olson; 9210 Science Center Drive; New Hope, MN 55428).

  6. That a shipment of medical supplies coming in the next 2 months will arrive safely and not be stolen or damaged while sitting in customs or after that.

  7. For the Lord's continued provision for all our financial needs, including our Support Fund.

  8. Campus Crusade has launched a fundraising plan to buy the second floor of our clinic building (zoning requirements insist that it be a 2 story building). Pray for their success in raising the needed funds, and also for a donor who might match the funds that individuals raise.

  9. For continued safety, unity and good health for us.

  10. That the Traistaru family will receive strength and courage from the Lord to follow through with getting Flori evaluated for possible surgery before Dr. Pesamosca, the best pediatric surgeon here, retires.

  11. That God will raise up more missionaries to work in Romania.

  12. For the country of Romania: 1) that the leaders of this country will follow the Lord and seek to do His will, and that they will continue to oppose corruption and dishonesty at all levels of the government and society, 2) against the spirits of deception and corruption in this country, 3) for a revival in the church in Romania and for a "Promise Keepers" type revival among the men in Romania.
