ANSWERED PRAYERS

  1. Praise that we are gradually getting more patients!
  2. Praise that Gabi and Ambrose had a beautiful wedding and that her health problems seem to be resolved.
  3. Praise that Ruxi and Dragos's baby Eduard is much better with his colic problems!
  4. Praise that Francisco Gross has received one of his approvals already in his citizenship application for Spain!
  5. Praise that Ionut is doing better and that we have received enough funds for his medicines for the time being!

PRAYER REQUESTS

    1. For more donations for our clinic project--enough to cover our employees' salaries and the utilities for especially the next 6 months. By then, we should have enough Western patients to cover the overhead. The CBC lab machine, a chair for the blood drawing area, an X-ray machine and finishing the basement are still long term goals. Donations toward the clinic are best given to Open Door Medical Ministries, C/O Clifford Olson, 9210 Science Center Drive, New Hope, MN 55428. Donations to our Work Fund, Support Fund, Travel Fund and Personal Gift Fund should go to World Mission Prayer League, 232 Clifton Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55403, specifying to which fund you wish to give.
  1. For additional funds to be able to help some of the poorest of our patients with their medication expenses and other acute financial problems. The Romanian government has recently changed laws to make it much more difficult to receive donations of medications from outside Romania. And Romania has no "safety net" for the poor.
  2. For doctors to volunteer to come and work in the clinic, especially when we are back in the U.S. in October. This is a really important/urgent prayer request!
  3. For Dr. Francisco Gross, that he and his family will be able to get Spanish citizenship and his diplomas approved in Spain in only 3-4 months and that the Romanian government will then accept his diploma (as a European Union dentist). Pray also for a good quality Christian dentist here who would like to work with him in our clinic.
  4. For us to find other high quality Christian specialists who would like to work part-time in the clinic. We spoke with a Christian Ear, Nose and Throat specialist yesterday--we need wisdom in how to create an acceptable contract to have her work with us, since we don't have the money to hire her outright.
  5. For continued general good health, safety and unity, for us and for all of the people who are working at the clinic.
  6. For continued protection of the clinic against theft or damage.
  7. For Ionut, to be completely healed of his leukemia.
  8. That the residents who will be learning at our clinic and the patients who come will experience Christ's love for them through our work and our words.
  9. That God will raise up more missionaries to work with us in Romania. We need people with medical training, clinic organization and management skills, Christian counseling and evangelism skills as well as other skills.
  10. For the country of Romania: 1) that the leaders and the people will rediscover the meaning of integrity, 2) against the spirits of deception, self-deception and corruption that are so dominant in this country, and 3) for a revival in the church in Romania, especially among the men, for their hearts and their minds.
