Prayers - April 2000
ANSWERED PRAYERS
- Praise for our apparent success in obtaining Romanian citizenship!
- Praise that the clinic building project is moving forward, that the
architect is successfully obtaining approvals from the various government
offices, and that we should be able to start building in a month or so!
- Praise that the clinic project continues to receive donations!
- Praise for continued good health, safety and unity!
PRAYER REQUESTS
- For speedy final approvals of the clinic building plans.
- For God to continue to lead people to donate to our clinic project.
Donations can be given to World Mission Prayer League, specifying the Romania
Clinic Fund, 232 Clifton Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55403, or to Open Door Medical
Ministries, C/O Clifford Olson, 9210 Science Center Drive, New Hope, MN 55428.
- For BEL Christian Fellowship, for healing of hurting hearts in the body
and for direction for the future.
- For more opportunities and ability to witness effectively in this
culture, where most people believe they are Christian because they are
baptized, without any knowledge of what it means to have a personal
relationship with Jesus Christ or to live for Him and according to His
teachings.
- For continued good health, safety and unity. Linda has picked up cold
viruses at the orphanage two of the last three visits. We were also awakened
by a small earthquake one night last week.
- For the ICC orphanage children, that they will continue to grow in the
loving environment there, and that those with developmental delays and
medical problems will be healed by the Lord. Also, for adoptive parents for
them.
- For Maria Alexe (the most beautiful toddler we've ever seen) who will
soon be adopted from the ICC orphanage by an American couple. Pray that they
will be good parents for her and teach her to love the Lord and serve Him.
- That God will raise up more missionaries to work with us in Romania. We
need people with clinic organization and management skills and evangelism
skills. We have received an email from a young couple who want to come and
help in whatever way possible for 6 weeks in November and December. We're
looking forward to them coming, and pray that the Lord will provide for their
financial needs to cover their stay here.
- For the country of Romania: 1) that the leaders will follow the Lord and
seek to do His will and that they will recommit themselves to opposing
corruption and dishonesty at all levels of the government and society, 2)
against the spirits of deception and corruption in this country, and 3) for a
revival in the church in Romania and for a "Promise Keepers" type revival
among the men in Romania.
